It&rsquo;s influenced by Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, and Bobby Flay.<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"ingredients\">\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li>Nonstick spray (Pam)    <\/li>\n<li>1 large onion, chopped     <\/li>\n<li>&frac12; cup  chopped celery<\/li>\n<li>&frac12; cup shredded carrot<\/li>\n<li>1 pound maple sausage<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons poultry seasoning     <\/li>\n<li>Salt and pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 to 4 slices whole grain bread, torn or cut into &frac12; -inch cubes or chunks<\/li>\n<li>1 cup chicken stock (or bouillon and water)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<h4>Directions<\/h4>\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li> Spray skillet with nonstick spray, and saute onion and celery.<\/li>\n<li>Add sausage, breaking apart, and cook until no longer pink. <\/li>\n<li>Drain any fat.<\/li>\n<li>Add poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.<\/li>\n<li>Add chicken stock and bring to a boil.<\/li>\n<li>Add torn bread to pan, and stir to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Allow to warm through and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"variations\">\n<h4>Variations<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"variations\">\n<li>I prefer the rustic look of torn bread, so I simply tear the bread as I throw it into the pan.<\/li>\n<li>To simplify the vegetable prep for the recipe, I often gather my onion, celery, and carrots from the grocery store&rsquo;s salad bar.<\/li>\n<li>Use the sausage of your choice.
