Like a rock
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to pose with a Cambrian fossil, which was featured at a Wisconsin Rest Area in Westfield.

The sign near the fossil explains that it shows "Footprints in the Sands of Time," and as I thought on this 570 million-year-old wonder, a miracle in the bedrock of this great land, I was reminded of the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.
I endeavor to leave my own footprints on the sands of time. Join me, citizens of this great nation, in banding together to make a difference, to leave your footprints. Join me as I work to leave footprints that will long be remembered by Americans thousands of years from now. Join me on my campaign team. Leave footprints as you work to better the world around you. Perhaps you can even leave two sets of footprints.

There is a great bedrock of support behind me. Help me make a difference! Help me win the 2008 election!
