I recall reading it in my sophomore American Lit survey class. I&nbsp;think it was the simplicity of the lines and their <em>abab</em> rhyme scheme. I&nbsp;was taken in by the nursery-rhyme-like quality and then shocked by that last line. That was the point, of course. Robinson got exactly the reaction he wanted out of me.</p>
